Artist Statement (Behind the Work)

"In 'Metallic Abyss,' I wanted to explore the dynamic collision between fluid, organic energy and raw, tactile metal. Swirling currents of deep cobalt blue, electric turquoise, and canary yellow flow across a stark white backdrop, capturing an uninhibited emotional surge. Piercing through this fluid movement is a dense, highly sculptural core of hand-collaged metallic copper paper foil. As ambient light shifts across the room, the reflective ridges and crushed copper textures awaken—creating an ever-changing dialogue between depth, brilliance, and physical presence."

About the Artwork

A commanding statement piece from the Acid on Canvas Series, "Metallic Abyss" bridges liquid elegance and industrial maximalism. Swirling, high-energy fluid acrylic cells surge across a clean canvas field, disrupted by a powerful center mass of crinkled, hand-collaged metallic copper paper foil. The high-contrast interplay between vibrant fluid pigments and tactile, reflective metal foil gives the piece extraordinary spatial depth and dimensional brilliance under varying light conditions.

Styling & Space

At 75 × 55 cm, this artwork is designed as a bold focal point for modern, industrial, or high-end contemporary interiors. Its reflective copper tones harmonize effortlessly with raw concrete, exposed wood, black steel, or minimal modern walls.
