"There is a quiet resilience in landscapes that have endured drying, cracking, and exposure. With 'Desert of Paint,' I wanted to explore the beauty of emotional droughts—those moments when our protective facades fracture open. By allowing specialized crackle mediums to shrink and split over fluid acrylic streams as they cure, the painting forms physical, parched fissures. Yet beneath every break, rich underlying pigment glimmers through. It stands as a reminder that being cracked open is not destruction; it is how light, texture, and truth find their way to the surface."
